Maria Cristina D. Pablo
Maria Cristina D. Pablo Chiqui has been in the broadcasting industry for more than 10 years. She’s a volleyball analyst, commentator, and hosts two teleradyo programs on DZME 1530. She also hosts weddings and events with passion and joy. Aside from her work, Chiqui is also busy handling several Bible study groups with women on a weekly basis. Currently, she is the lead host for Anchor of Hope Live! A production of Anchor of Hope & Strength Organization which airs every weekend from 8-9am and ChiqChat, a talk show, that airs every Thursday from 2-3pm on DZME 1530. These are also seen and heard on Facebook, Youtube, and cable TV. She graduated from the University of the Philippines in Diliman with a degree in BA Communications major in Broadcasting.
Rogelio I. Espiritu, EdD
Roger is an academic leader, educator, and author with expertise in educational leadership, history, and community development. He serves as Director of the Office of Extension and Community Outreach and Coordinator of the National Service Training Program (NSTP) at the University of the East, where he also teaches in the Department of History and International Studies. A committed scholar, Roger has authored instructional materials including the NSTP Common Module series, Salaysay at Saysay: Readings in Philippine History, and co-authored volumes for the Licensure Examination for Teachers in Social Sciences. His publications on sustainable livelihood and outreach reflect his advocacy for education that empowers communities. He is an active member and leader in various professional organizations, including PACUCOA, the Philippine Historical Association, and the Philippine Fulbright Scholars Association. He has held key roles such as President of the UE College of Arts and Sciences Alumni Association and Vice President of the American Studies Association of the Philippines. Roger is also a licensed Safety Officer 2, certified in Basic Life Support and First Aid, and holds Career Service Professional Eligibility from the Civil Service Commission. He joined Anchor of Hope in 2018 during his wife Annabelle’s battle with ovarian cancer and now serves as its Vice President and co-host of Anchor of Hope Live! on DZME 1530. Roger earned his Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration, two master’s degrees in History and Public Administration, and a BA in History with a Minor in Sociology—all from the University of the East. He is a Fulbright alumnus of the Walker Institute of International Studies, University of South Carolina.
Atty. Maria Luisa G. Pangan
Atty. Babes is a retired government executive with 41 years of distinguished public service, culminating as Director for Appeals at the Department of Human Settlements and Human Settlements Adjudication Commission (formerly HLURB).
A sought-after resource speaker and lecturer on Real Estate Development, Homeowners Associations, and HLURB’s Administrative Adjudication Process, primarily at the De La Salle University – School for Professional and Continuing Education, she draws from her extensive legal expertise and leadership roles in policy development.
Apart from her role as secretary of Anchor of Hope & Strength, Inc., she also works as a consultant.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Education, major in English, with minors in Filipino and Journalism and is a graduate of the University of the Philippines College of Law.
Cristina Sy
Tina brings over 30 years of corporate experience spanning financial consultancy, manufacturing, and executive search—demonstrating a versatile skill set and a consistent track record of excellence.
In her role as Co-Chair of the Ways & Means Committee, Tina plays a pivotal part in driving the AOH’s fundraising efforts and logistical support behind its diverse initiatives and projects.
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of San Carlos in Cebu City, where she developed a deep understanding of human behavior and organizational dynamics—insights that continue to inform her professional and volunteer work.
Dra. Charity Viado-Gorospe
Dr. Charity Gorospe is a distinguished medical oncologist with a longstanding commitment to cancer care and clinical excellence. She served as Chairman of the Cancer Institute at St. Luke’s Medical Center – Quezon City from 2008 to 2016 and concurrently held the same position at St. Luke’s Medical Center – Global City from 2012 to 2016. In 2022, Dr. Gorospe founded Anchor of Hope and Strength, a compassionate initiative dedicated to supporting cancer patients through spiritual encouragement and practical care. She continues to serve as one of its trusted advisers, guiding its mission with her expertise and deep commitment to sharing the Gospel and uplifting lives through Christ-centered service. Dr. Gorospe earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Santo Tomas College of Medicine and Surgery. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center, where she also pursued and finished her subspecialty fellowship training in Medical Oncology. She undertook her clinical observership at the Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, a renowned institution in cancer research and treatment.
Annabelle Espiritu
Annabelle M. Espiritu Annabelle is an educator and academic leader with a strong background in teaching, administration, and student development. She currently serves as Coordinator of the Office for International Affairs and External Linkages and is a faculty member of the Department of Social Sciences at the University of the East, Caloocan. She has previously held roles as Department Chair and OJT/Job Placement Coordinator. Her earlier career includes leadership in basic education as Principal and Guidance Counselor. She actively participates in capacity-building initiatives and has spoken at local and international conferences on higher education internationalization, leadership, mental health, and digital transformation. A cancer survivor, Annabelle now serves as Treasurer of Anchor of Hope and Strength and co-hosts Anchor of Hope Live!, a DZME 1530 radio program supporting cancer patients. She is also a recognized speaker on global student opportunities and internationalization. She holds a Master in Public Administration (Human Resources Administration) and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, and is pursuing her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration at the University of the East.
Dra. Constancia Sibulo
Dr. Steny Sibulo is a retired obstetrician-gynecologist who served women’s health with compassion, integrity and professionalism for over 40 years at Delos Santos and St. Luke’s Medical Center, both in Quezon City. In 2005, during a personal crisis, she surrendered her life to Jesus Christ—beginning a transformative journey of faith. Her 2010 breast cancer diagnosis deepened her dependence on God and shaped her calling to encourage others. She now serves as Co-Chairperson of the Ways and Means Committee for Anchor of Hope and Strength (AOH), contributing to the organization’s financial and operational initiatives. Beyond her work in the organization, Dr. Steny shares reflections and encouragement through social media—offering faith-based insights rooted in Scripture, personal experience, and spiritual discernment. Dr. Steny believes that life’s challenges are God’s invitation to draw closer to Him. In retirement, she helps manage her family business and continues to grow spiritually through study, prayer, and service. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center (UERMMMC) and completed her post-graduate internship and residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC).
Carmelina G. Aguirre
CARMELINA G. AGUIRRE Fondly known as Miles to family and friends, she brings over 20 years of experience across hospitality, pharmaceutical sales, and manufacturing. Miles began her career in hotel and restaurant management, then spent five years in pharmaceutical sales before joining the family’s export and manufacturing business, where she retired as Vice President of Manufacturing Operations. After retirement, Miles devoted herself to caring for her ailing husband—a role that deepened her compassion and resilience. Today, she serves as President of Anchor of Hope and Strength, where she applies her people-centered leadership and organizational skills to make a positive impact. Miles holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of San Carlos in Cebu City.
Irene A. Katipunan
Irene is a dedicated wife and mother of two, with a strong background in accounting and administration. She spent over a decade in the livestock industry, eventually serving as Accounting Administrator before choosing to focus on her family in 2012. Her deep Christian faith has guided her through various roles in her local church, including pastoral council member, treasurer, and Sunday school teacher. In 2021, Irene faced breast cancer with courage and faith. Her recovery became a powerful testimony of resilience, supported by her family, friends, and church community. She joined Anchor of Hope in 2022 and now coordinates pastor scheduling for AOH Live, the ministry’s radio program on DZME 1530. Irene also works part-time, balancing her professional skills with her passion for ministry and family life. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Jose Rizal University, earned as a working student—a reflection of her perseverance and commitment to growth.
Emadelyn B. Monsanto
Lynn is an environmental and social safeguards consultant with over 30 years of experience in sustainable development. She has worked extensively on infrastructure projects funded by major international financial institutions, including the World Bank (WB), Asian Development Bank (ADB), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC). Throughout her career, Lynn has collaborated with multidisciplinary teams of technical experts in the areas of master planning, feasibility study, detailed engineering design, construction supervision, and monitoring of a wide array of infrastructure projects. These include roads, bridges, expressways, urban transport systems, ports, flood control, irrigation, water supply, agriculture, integrated water resources management (IWRM), solid waste management, and watershed/river basin management. Her experience spans both the Philippines and the international development arena. In addition, Lynn has played a key role in advancing locally led start-up ecosystems in the Philippines through green growth initiatives, nature-based solutions, and social enterprises that include affordable housing for the poor, waste-to-energy, sustainable farming systems, and health and wellness. As part of her ministry involvement, Lynn serves as a Member of the Board of AOH. Lynn is also the founder, CEO, and Chief Visionary Officer of Phil. EarthUs Consultancy Co., Inc., and works on-call as an International Environmental Safeguards Consultant for Asia and the Pacific at the Asian Development Bank (ADB). She holds degrees in Geology and Environmental Studies from the University of the Philippines and a certification in Program and Project Management from the HIDA Kenshu Center in Tokyo, Japan.
Maria Mithi C. Santiago
Mithi completed her undergraduate studies in 1981 and spent 16 years at the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT), where she built a solid foundation in corporate operations before retiring.
Following her retirement, she pursued entrepreneurship and founded Warehouse Unlimited, a business specializing in computer units, hardware, peripherals, and office supplies.
At Anchor of Hope and Strength, Mithi contributes her creative and technical skills as part of the website admin team, designing title cards, art works and supporting the organization’s online presence.
Mithi pursued several modular degree programs during her college years, guided by a desire to grow both professionally and in her walk with Christ.
